Fintan is a freelance science journalist currently based in Hamburg. He has written for The Irish Times, Horizon Magazine and SciDev.net. He was previously based in Brussels and Dublin.
He writes about European science policy, biology, health and bioethics.
Fintan has a masters degree in science communication from Dublin City University and a bachelors degree in biotechnology. Apart from journalism, he also works as a science communicator at the University of Hamburg and the non-profit European Science Communication Institute.
