ISTJA Social Media Manager
Catriona is an experienced science journalist with extensive experience across various communications activities such as publications, events, social media, and media partnerships.
She currently is on the ISTJA Executive Committee and manages ISTJA’s social media. She has previously held the secretary role for the association.
Catriona currently works for Teagasc (Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority) and edits one of their flagship research publications, TResearch magazine. She is an editorial consultant for the Irish Journal of Agricultural and Food Research.
She also manages strategic media partnerships with RTÉ Brainstorm and the 10 Things to Know About… TV series. Catriona has been an essential contributor to the development of science communication in Teagasc.
She holds a Masters in Science Communications from DCU as well as a Masters in Biomedical Science and a BSc in Applied Biochemical Sciences from the University of Ulster. She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Leadership from the Irish Management Institute and University College Cork.
