
Eoin is a Biochemist, Educator and Science Communicator. He holds a degree in Biotechnology as well as master’s degrees in both Biochemistry and Science and Health communication.
During his time in research Eoin won a number of science communication awards. While completing his masters in Science and Health Communication he was selected as the winner of the 2021 Mary Mulvihill Student Media Award for an audio documentary looking at the health inequalities across the globe exposed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since then he has gone on to produce 12 audio documentaries dealing with different scientific topics and themes. In addition to his podcasts, he has had articles published across a range of media platforms including The Irish Times, RTÉ Brainstorm and Silicon Republic.
Eoin has also delivered science communication workshops, designed programmes for secondary schools, guest lectured on podcast production as well as featuring regularly on Newstalk’s Science show Futureproof.
He currently holds the role of Social Media Manager for The Mary Mulvihill Association and divides his time between education and working on different science communication projects.
